St. Joseph Academy is 0-4 against Bolles since March of 2021 but things could change on Wednesday. The Flashes will face off against the Bulldogs at 6:30 p.m. St. Joseph Academy is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.7 runs per game this season.

On Tuesday, St. Joseph Academy didn't have quite enough to beat Palatka and fell 8-7.

Dayton Taylor was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and two runs. That home run marked the first that he launched this season.

Meanwhile, Bolles fell victim to Parkview and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers. The Bulldogs haven't had much luck with the Panthers recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Bolles saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jackson Geist, who went 1-for-4 with one stolen base.

St. Joseph Academy's record now sits at 17-5-1. As for Bolles, their record is now 15-7.

The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. St. Joseph Academy has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 9.2 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Bolles struggles in that department as they've been averaging 6.9 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.

St. Joseph Academy suffered a grim 11-3 defeat to Bolles when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can the Flashes avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
