Baseball Game Preview: Phoenix Pirates vs. Henley Hornets

For the second straight game, Phoenix will face off against Henley. The Pirates will face off against the Hornets at 3:00 p.m. on Friday. Phoenix is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 6.3 runs per game this season.

Phoenix fell victim to Henley and their airtight pitching crew on Tuesday. They came up short against the Hornets, falling 6-0. The game marked the first time this season in which the Pirates were not able to get on the board.

For Henley's part, the result came thanks to Corbin Hamilton's shutout, as he gave up just two hits.

At the plate, Henley saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Carson Siems, who went 1-for-3 with two RBI and one run. Max Price also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Henley's win was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 9-2. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.8 runs over those games. As for Phoenix, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 10-4.
