Baseball Recap: Red Hill Sets Scoring Season-High Against Martinsville

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Red Hill). They were the clear victors by a 21-1 margin over the Martinsville Bluestreaks on Wednesday. The Salukis haven't had any issues with the Bluestreaks recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive win against them.

Red Hill let Carter Davis and Jaxon Kiser run wild. Davis went 1-for-2 with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run, while Kiser went 2-for-5 with four RBI and one run. That's the most hits Kiser has posted since back in March. Another player making a difference was Marcus Davis, who went 2-for-3 with three runs and one RBI.

The victory got Red Hill back to even at 9-9-1. As for Martinsville, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 2-11.

Looking ahead, Red Hill will take on Lawrenceville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Salukis are facing the Indians at the right time seeing as the Indians are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Martinsville, they will square off against Cowden-Herrick/Beecher City at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
