Preview: Maricopa vs. Cesar Chavez
Maricopa will head out on the road to square off against Cesar Chavez at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Maricopa is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road.
Maricopa didn't get the result they wanted in their first contest with Shadow Ridge on Wednesday. They ended up on the wrong side of a tough 4-0 walloping at the hands of Shadow Ridge. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat Maricopa has suffered yet this season.
Even though Cesar Chavez has not done well against Browne recently (they were 1-7 in their previous eight matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Cesar Chavez came out on top in a nail-biter against Browne and snuck past 2-1. The win made it back-to-back wins for Cesar Chavez.
Maricopa has been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-4-2 record this season. As for Cesar Chavez, their victory bumped their record up to 2-11.
Maricopa suffered a grim 5-0 defeat to Cesar Chavez in their previous meeting back in January of 2023. Can Maricopa avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
