The home team had won the previous five meetings between Herbert Hoover and Ripley, and Herbert Hoover kept the tradition alive. The Huskies came out on top against the Vikings by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. The Huskies haven't had any issues with the Vikings recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Herbert Hoover easily took the second set, but they let things get interesting in the other. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-13.

Herbert Hoover was led to victory by Olivia Huddleston and Ahaziah Smith. Huddleston had five digs and three aces, while Smith had three aces and two blocks. That's the most aces Huddleston has posted since back in August.

Despite the loss, Ripley still got an impressive performance from Delaney Howery, who had 14 digs and one assist. Howery has been hot recently, having posted 11 or more digs the last four times she's played.

Herbert Hoover's win bumped their record up to 20-2-1. As for Ripley, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Coincidentally, Herbert Hoover and Ripley will both be playing St. Albans the next time they take the court. The Vikings will head out to face the Red Dragons at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, while the Huskies will play them later in the day, at 7:30 p.m.
