Football Recap: Messalonskee Comes Up Short + How To Watch

Messalonskee fell victim to Leavitt and their airtight defense on Friday. They had to suffer through a 34-0 loss at the hands of the Hornets. The game marked the first time this year in which the Eagles were not able to get on the board.

Tatum Doucette threw for 58 yards on six of 17 attempts. Denny Martin was his top target, picking up 28 receiving yards. On the ground, Landon Rancourt rushed for 51 yards.

Messalonskee's defeat dropped their record down to 3-4. As for Leavitt, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-2 record this season.

Messalonskee will head out on the road to face off against Lawrence at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Leavitt, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Hermon at 7:00 p.m. The Hawks' defense has only allowed 9.1 points per game this season, so the Hornets' offense will have their work cut out for them.
