Basketball Recap: Carlisle Extends Winning Streak to Eight

Carlisle extended their postseason success on Friday against Chelsea Academy. They were the clear victor by a 67-46 margin over the Chelsea Academy Knights. The Chiefs have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 12 games by 21 points or more this season.

Carlisle can attribute much of their success to Chelsey Harris, who posted 20 points. Those 20 points gave Harris a new career-high. Zarah Gray was another key player, putting up 13 points.

Despite the loss, Chelsea Academy still got an impressive performance from Cici Wingate, who shot 67% from the field to rack up 21 points. Wingate has been hot, having posted 16 or more points the last six times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Evelyn Wingate, who put up three points and nine rebounds.

The win (which was Carlisle's eighth in a row) raised their record to 19-5. As for Chelsea Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-6.

Carlisle has already played their next matchup, a 49-46 loss against St. Margaret's on the 1st. Chelsea Academy does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
