Basketball Recap: Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier Takes a Loss

After flying high against Napoleon/Gackle-Streeter last Friday, Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier came back down to earth. The Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier Rangers fell 50-39 to the Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock Lions on Saturday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Lions this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 52-40 two weeks ago.

Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier's loss dropped their record down to 11-10. As for Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier will venture away from home to square off against Ellendale at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Edgeley/Kulm/Montpelier is facing Ellendale at the right time seeing as Ellendale is stuck on a five-game losing streak. As for Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock, they will head out to take on LaMoure/Litchville-Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. LaMoure/Litchville-Marion will roll in looking for their 13th straight victory, something Linton/Hazelton-Moffit-Braddock surely won't give up without a fight.
