It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Concord ultimately got the result they hoped for on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past the Lenawee Christian Cougars 11-9. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Yellowjackets considering their one-run performance the matchup before.

Nate Fritz and Jordan Medellion made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, Fritz struck out six batters over four innings while giving up just one earned (and three unearned) runs off three hits. Meanwhile, Medellion didn't allow a single earned run while striking out seven over four innings pitched.
