On Tuesday Rhys Klein didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over six innings pitched. The performance also marked the fewest earned runs (zero) Klein has had since back in February. As if that's not impressive enough, the pitching appearance was his third in a row with less than one earned run. For the year, he has an ERA of 2.96 over 45 innings pitched.

Coming up, Klein and Braden River will square off against Manatee at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates got just the result they wanted when they last faced the Hurricanes thanks in part to Klein: he struck out ten batters over seven innings while giving up four earned (and one unearned) runs off seven hits (and only one walk).
