Recap: Philo Electrics vs. Edison Wildcats
The Philo Electrics had to endure a six-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Edison on Saturday as Philo made off with a 64-41 win. The win was just what Philo needed coming off of a 67-38 loss in their prior matchup.
Philo found their leader in underclassman Rusty Trout, who scored 23 points along with seven steals and five rebounds. Those 23 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Talon Preston, who scored 12 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Philo's victory ended a ten-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-6. As for Edison, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost four of their last five games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Philo will head out on the road to face off against Crooksville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Edison, they will be playing at home against Southern at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Southern is hoping to put an end to a three-game streak of away losses.
