Football Recap: Rancho Christian Comes Up Short on the Road Against University City + How To Watch

Rancho Christian had to hit the road for their first game and it wasn't the result they were hoping for. They were dealt a 55-20 defeat at the hands of the University City Centurions on Friday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' California football rankings (they are ranked 428th, while the Centurions are ranked 183rd).

University City was led to victory by Quentyn DeMara and Deshaun Hille. DeMara threw for 274 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes, while Hille gained 139 total yards and four touchdowns. What's more, DeMara racked up 78 rushing yards, the most he's had since back in September of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of DJ Ferguson, who picked up 116 receiving yards and a pair of TDs.

Looking ahead, Rancho Christian will head out on the road to take on Norte Vista at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for University City, they will host West Hills at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
