St. Thomas More came into Thursday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They came out on top against the Paxton-Buckley-Loda Panthers by a score of 2-0 on Thursday. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-1 last Saturday.

The final score came out to 25-21, 25-17.

Cassidy Monahan paced St. Thomas More's offense, picking up seven kills. Monahan got some help from Avery Humphrey and her eight assists. Quinn Miller controlled things from the service line, finishing with three aces.

St. Thomas More's victory bumped their record up to 23-12. As for Paxton-Buckley-Loda, their loss was their sixth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 11-21.

St. Thomas More has already played their next match, a 2-0 defeat against Prairie Central on the 28th. As for Paxton-Buckley-Loda, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 2-0 loss against Olympia on the 27th.
