Baseball Recap: Hillcrest Takes a Loss

Hillcrest came into their game on Saturday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 12-2 to the Trinity Christian Trojans. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Panthers have suffered since March 8th.

Hillcrest saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Angel Jimenez, who scored a run and stole three bases while going 1-for-3.

Hillcrest's defeat dropped their record down to 17-9-1. As for Trinity Christian, their victory ended a five-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-7.

Looking ahead, Hillcrest will take on Jefferson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Patriots at the right time seeing as the Patriots are stuck on an eight-game losing streak. Trinity Christian does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
