Softball Recap: Eastland Takes a Loss

Eastland was the 17-4 winner over Pecatonica when they last played one another back in March of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Cougars fell 8-5 to the Indians on Monday. The Cougars just can't catch a break and have now endured four defeats in a row.

Eastland's loss dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Pecatonica, they are on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season.

Eastland will be playing in front of their home fans against Ashton-Franklin Center at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Cougars are facing the Raiders at the right time seeing as the Raiders are stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Pecatonica, they will venture away from home to face off against Rockford Auburn at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Indians' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Knights have averaged an impressive 12 runs per game this season.
