Baseball Game Preview: Wareham Vikings vs. Holbrook Bulldogs

For the first time this season, Wareham will have a chance to prove themselves in a conference matchup. They will take on the Holbrook Bulldogs at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. Wareham has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with four straight defeats, while Holbrook will come in with three straight victories.

Wareham is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs last Wednesday, they were much more limited against Carver on Tuesday. They lost 8-2 to the Crusaders.

Meanwhile, Holbrook had just enough and edged out Norfolk County Agricultural 14-12 on Wednesday.

Holbrook's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Wareham, their loss dropped their record down to 0-4-1.

Wareham was able to grind out a solid victory over Holbrook when the teams last played back in May of 2024, winning 7-2. Will the Vikings repeat their success, or do the Bulldogs have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
