Softball Recap: Coleville Gets the Win

The matchup between Coleville and Carlin on Saturday hardly resembled the 4-0 effort from their previous meeting. The Wolves walked away with a 19-16 win over the Railroaders. The Wolves haven't had any issues with the Railroaders recently, as the game was their ninth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Leslie Acero, who went 3-for-5 with four RBI, two runs, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Rhiannon French was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4.

Coleville always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .659. They are 4-2 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Coleville picked up their first home win, bumping their record up to 4-7. As for Carlin, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 5-4.
