Volleyball Game Preview: Mission San Jose Warriors vs. Newark Memorial Cougars

The Mission San Jose Warriors will square off against the Newark Memorial Cougars at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.

Mission San Jose is probably headed into the match with a chip on their shoulder considering Moreau Catholic just ended the team's five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Mariners.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-15, 25-18, 12-25, 25-23.

Meanwhile, Newark Memorial can bid farewell to their six-game losing streak thanks to their game on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out Westmoor 2-1.

Newark Memorial's win bumped their record up to 4-15. As for Mission San Jose, their loss dropped their record down to 13-11.

Mission San Jose was able to grind out a solid victory over Newark Memorial in their previous meeting back in March, winning 3-1. Will the Warriors repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
