Basketball Recap: Osbourn Takes a Loss

Osbourn was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 17th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Osbourn Park Yellowjackets 65-12. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 378th, while the Yellowjackets are ranked seventh).

Osbourn's loss dropped their record down to 0-16. As for Osbourn Park, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 14-3 record this season.

Osbourn will welcome Freedom at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Osbourn Park, they won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Gainesville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Gainesville sitting on three straight victories and Osbourn Park on six.
