Oconee County waltzed into their match on Thursday with seven straight wins... but they left with eight. They came within a single set of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Greenbrier Wolfpack. The Warriors have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wolfpack, too.

It was an exciting match in which no team won back-to-back sets, but at the end of the day Oconee County got the one that really mattered. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-27, 15-12.

Oconee County's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cameron Webb led the charge by getting seven digs and two aces. That's the most aces Webb has posted over her last ten games. The team also got some help courtesy of Fendley Kimbro, who had 31 assists and 19 digs.

Oconee County's victory bumped their record up to 11-5. As for Greenbrier, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last seven contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-7 record this season.

Coincidentally, Oconee County and Greenbrier will both be playing Prince Avenue Christian the next time they take the court. The Wolfpack will head out to face the Wolverines at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, while the Warriors will play them later in the day, at 7:00 p.m.
