Volleyball Game Preview: Steele Comets vs. Nordonia Knights

The Steele Comets will head out on the road to square off against the Nordonia Knights at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Steele came up short against Springfield on Saturday, falling 3-0.

While Steele was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-14, 27-25.

Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Nordonia's good fortune finally ran out on Thursday. They lost 3-0 to St. Edward. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Knights have suffered since April 1st.

Nordonia was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. The final score came out to 25-16, 25-11, 26-24.

Steele's loss dropped their record down to 9-9. As for Nordonia, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-5.

Steele might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Nordonia in their previous matchup back in April of 2024. Can the Comets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
