Softball Recap: Chittenango's Victory on Monday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Chittenango waltzed into their contest on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They never let the Liverpool Warriors get on the board and left with a 3-0 win. The Bears were shut out 6-0 the last time they took on the Warriors, so the Bears were just returning the favor.

The result came thanks to Lauren Machan's shutout, as she gave up just four hits and racked up nine Ks.

On the hitting side, Juli. Coon was excellent, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 1-for-2. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 1.3 stolen bases per game.

Chittenango's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Liverpool, their loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chittenango will host Canastota at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Liverpool, they will challenge Webster Schroeder at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
