Baseball Game Preview: Glenbard West Hilltoppers vs. Glenbard East Rams

The Glenbard West Hilltoppers will challenge the Glenbard East Rams at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

Glenbard West is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 14 runs on Friday, they were much more limited against Willowbrook on Saturday. They fell just short of the Warriors by a score of 3-1. The Hilltoppers' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Meanwhile, Glenbard East had already proven themselves in the regular season and they didn't miss a beat now that it's playoff time. They had just enough and edged out Wheaton North 5-4. The win was familiar territory for the Rams, who have now won 11 contests in a row.

Glenbard West's loss dropped their record down to 16-18. As for Glenbard East, their victory bumped their record up to 24-8.

Everything went Glenbard West's way against Glenbard East when the teams last played back in March, as Glenbard West made off with a 13-3 win. Will the Hilltoppers repeat their success, or do the Rams have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
