Basketball Recap: Madison Christian's Losing Streak Snapped at Ten Games

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Madison Christian ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 56-54 win over the Miller Falcons. The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their ten-game losing streak dating back to last season.

When it comes to explaining why Miller lost, don't look at Logan Doughty. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 25 points and 12 steals. The matchup was Doughty's seventh in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Bryce Dorsey, who posted 18 points and seven rebounds.

Madison Christian's win ended a ten-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 1-7. As for Miller, they dropped their record down to 2-7 with the loss, which was their fifth straight on the road.

Madison Christian wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 50-28 defeat against West Jefferson on the 4th. As for Miller, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, an 84-66 victory against Wellington School on the 4th.
