Softball Recap: Nashua-Plainfield Takes a Loss

Nashua-Plainfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss dating back to last season. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 4-3 heartbreaker at the hands of the Hudson Pirates. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Huskies of the 10-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in June of 2019.

Nashua-Plainfield's loss dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Hudson, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 6-3 record this season.

Nashua-Plainfield will host North Butler at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. The Bearcats will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something the Huskies surely won't give up without a fight. As for Hudson, they will head out to take on Aplington-Parkersburg at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. The Pirates are facing the Falcons at the right time seeing as the Falcons are stuck on a five-game losing streak.
