Baseball Recap: Caribou Takes a Loss

Caribou suffered their biggest loss since June 15, 2024 on Saturday. They lost 21-11 to the Mount Desert Island Trojans. The defeat continues a trend for the Vikings in their meetings with the Trojans: they've now lost seven in a row.

Caribou's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Mount Desert Island, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-5.

Coming up, Caribou will welcome Houlton at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. The Vikings are facing the Shiretowners at the right time seeing as the Shiretowners are stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Mount Desert Island, they are taking a road trip to take on Ellsworth at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 2.3 runs per game this season, so the Trojans' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
