Softball Recap: General Brown Takes a Loss

General Brown fell victim to Sandy Creek and their airtight pitching crew on Monday. They came up short against the Comets, falling 6-0. The loss continues a trend for the Lions in their meetings with the Comets: they've now lost five in a row.

Raegan Burgenstock spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered just two earned (and four unearned) runs on seven hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.

General Brown now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Sandy Creek, the victory keeps they at an undefeated 5-0.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. General Brown will venture away from home to take on Indian River at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Sandy Creek, they will head out to square off against Thousand Islands at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Comets 1, the Vikings 2) so any runs scored will be well earned.
