Softball Recap: Hampton Bulldogs vs. Happy Valley Warriors
Hampton came into Tuesday's game having lost five straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past the Happy Valley Warriors 16-6 on Tuesday. Considering the Bulldogs' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.
Lauren Smith made a big impact no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than one walk in three consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one run.
