Baseball Game Preview: Richards Warriors vs. Tilden Blue Devils

For the second straight game, Richards will face off against Tilden. The Warriors will take on the Blue Devils at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Richards has four straight victories, Tilden has seven straight defeats), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Richards is headed in fresh off scoring the most runs they have all season. They blew past Tilden 17-2 on Tuesday. Fans of the Warriors have seen this all before: every one of the games they've played this season has ended in a blowout of 6+ runs.

Maikel Bracho Freitez was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over four innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in three consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 1-for-2 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run.

In other batting news, Juan Luis Alvarado Lopez was a standout: he got on base in all five of his plate appearances with five stolen bases, three runs, and one RBI. Those three runs gave him a new career-high. Juan Guevara was another key player, getting on base in four of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs.

Richards was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .391. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .316 or higher in five consecutive contests dating back to last season.

Tilden's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Richards, their record is now 4-0.
