It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Richmond-Burton had no problem doing just that on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Genoa-Kingston Cogs. The win was nothing new for the Rockets as they're now sitting on four straight.

The 2-0 score doesn't really reflect how close the match was: every set was decided by three points or less. The final score came out to 28-26, 25-23.

Dani Hopp paced Richmond-Burton's offense, picking up 11 kills. Hopp got some help from Josie Franckowiak and her 23 assists. Malorie Komar and Zoe Freund kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with three aces apiece.

Richmond-Burton's victory bumped their record up to 30-7. As for Genoa-Kingston, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 22-14.

Looking ahead, Richmond-Burton will take on Montini Catholic at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Genoa-Kingston does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
