Baseball Recap: Southridge's Winning Streak Snapped at Three Games

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Southridge's offense. They took a 4-0 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Westminster Christian Warriors on Tuesday. The game marked the first time this season in which the Spartans were not able to get on the board.

Southridge moved to 5-4 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for Westminster Christian, their win bumped their record up to 7-5-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Southridge will venture away from home to square off against Columbus at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Westminster Christian, they will head out on the road to challenge Belen Jesuit at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Westminster Christian's pitching crew has only allowed 3.7 runs per game this season, so Belen Jesuit's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
