Baseball Recap: Harmon Turns Things Around After Road Loss

There's no place like home for Harmon, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Friday. They were the clear victors by a 19-9 margin over the Wyandotte Bulldogs on Saturday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Hawks needed considering they were shut out in their previous game.

Harmon let Jackson Williams and Dylan Munoz run wild. Williams went 3-for-4 with two triples, three runs, and three RBI, while Munoz scored four runs and stole three bases while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances. Munoz is becoming a predictor of Harmon's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 1-5 when he doesn't). Anthony Avalos was another key player, scoring three runs and stealing three bases while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Harmon always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .619. They are a perfect 3-0 when they post an OBP of .513 or better.

Harmon's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Wyandotte, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-7.

Looking ahead, Harmon will be playing at home against Schlagle at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Wyandotte, they didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next match, a 15-5 defeat against Highland Park on the 12th.
