Recap: Socorro Bulldogs vs. Franklin Cougars
The Socorro Bulldogs suffered their biggest defeat yet this season on Tuesday. They were outmatched by Franklin on the road and fell 72-43. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for Socorro in their matchups with Franklin: they've now lost seven in a row.
Several Bulldogs players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Jordan Dominguez, who scored 15 points along with three blocks. Another player making a difference was Danny Delgado, who scored eight points along with seven rebounds.
Socorro has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season. As for Franklin, their win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-6.
Socorro will take on Eastlake at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Eastlake focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Tuesday. As for Franklin, they will head out on the road to take on Montwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
