            Baseball Recap: Taft School Big Red vs. Canterbury School Saints        
        
		
        
        
            Canterbury School typically has all the answers at home, but  on Tuesday Taft School proved too difficult a challenge. They walked away with  a   9-5  victory over the Saints. This was payback for the Big Red, who suffered  a  5-0  loss the last time these two teams met.
 Evan Douglas tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run and  allowing only  one  hit over 4.1 innings pitched. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than one  walk in three consecutive appearances.

 At the plate,  the team  relied heavily on  Cayden Van Dolah, who  went 1-for-3 with one  home run and three  RBI. Those  three  RBI gave  him a new career-high.  Oliver Lefkowitz was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and one  RBI.
Taft School's record now sits at 11-7. As for Canterbury School, their defeat  ended  a  15-game streak of wins at home  dating back to last season and  dropped them to 14-3.
 Coming up, Taft School will challenge Hotchkiss School at 2:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Canterbury School, they will face off against Suffield Academy at 3:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. The Saints' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Tigers have averaged an impressive 8.5  runs per game this season.
