Basketball Game Preview: Lindale Eagles vs. Kemp Yellowjackets

The Lindale Eagles will venture away from home to challenge the Kemp Yellowjackets at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Lindale will be strutting in after a victory while Kemp will be coming in after a loss.

Last Friday, everything came up roses for Lindale against Van as the squad secured a 55-9 win. That looming 55-9 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for the Eagles yet this season.

Meanwhile, Kemp was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their 11th straight defeat. They were dealt a 69-39 loss at the hands of Van. The Yellowjackets were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 49-12.

Lindale will need focus on slowing down Emma Bailey, one of several Kemp players who made an impact when they last played. She almost dropped a double-double on 11 points and nine boards. The dominant performance also gave Bailey a new career-high in assists (five). Allie Pringle was another key player, putting up 14 points and four steals.

Kemp's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Lindale, they now have a winning record of 13-12.

Everything came up roses for Lindale against Kemp in their previous matchup back in December of 2024, as the team secured a 58-19 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Lindale since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
