Soccer Game Preview: Chicago University vs. Timothy Christian

The Chicago University Maroons will challenge the Timothy Christian Trojans at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. Both teams are coming into the contest red-hot, with Chicago University sitting on three straight wins and Timothy Christian on four.

Chicago University is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They came out on top against Peotone by a score of 3-1.

Meanwhile, Timothy Christian kept a clean sheet against Cristo Rey Jesuit on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Cristeros. Timothy Christian might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won ten matches by three goals or more this season.

They hit Cristo Rey Jesuit with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Mia Schilf, Avery Croff, and Mackenzie Laslo.

Timothy Christian's victory was their 11th straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-3-2. Those home wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only given up two goals over those 11 games. As for Chicago University, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6-1.
