Basketball Recap: Northside Triumphs

Northside won the last time they faced Mather and things went their way on Friday too. The Northside Mustangs came out on top against the Mather Rangers by a score of 60-53.

Mather's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Adin Smajlovic, who went 7 of 15 on his way to 18 points and five assists. The match was Smajlovic's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Steve Edwards, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 16 points and seven rebounds.

Northside's victory bumped their record up to 2-4. As for Mather, their loss dropped their record down to 2-2.

Northside didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 75-65 win against Carver on the 10th. As for Mather, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 61-28 victory against Roosevelt on the 7th.
