Softball Recap: Rushville Takes a Loss

If Rushville was feeling good fresh off their 12-2 takedown of Batesville on Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Lions fell just short of the Hauser Jets by a score of 4-3 on Monday. The Lions haven't had much luck with the Jets recently, as the team has come up short the last four times they've met.

Rushville saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Becca Tabeling, who went 2-for-3 with one double and one RBI.

Rushville's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Hauser, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 7-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rushville will challenge Hagerstown at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Hauser, they will face off against Greensburg at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Pirates' pitching crew has only allowed 2.2 runs per game this season, so the Jets' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
