Volleyball Recap: Aspen Extends Home Winning Streak to Four

Aspen had to skate by with only a one-set margin when they last took the court, which might have inspired the three-set drubbing they dealt North Fork on Thursday. The Skiers were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Miners. That's more bragging rights for the Skiers, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Aspen was especially dominant in the second set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-17, 25-13, 25-17.

Mary Morse paced Aspen's offense, picking up nine kills. Morse got some help from Ava Braley and her 18 assists.

Aspen's victory was their fourth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 15-4. As for North Fork, they moved to 8-8 with that loss, which also ended their three-match winning streak.

Aspen wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 3-1 defeat against Forge Christian on the 18th. As for North Fork, they have also already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Meeker on the 17th.
