Softball Preview: West Davidson Dragons vs. Reagan Raiders

The West Davidson Dragons will head out on the road to challenge the Reagan Raiders at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

West Davidson is hoping to deliver their fans another blowout on Monday, just like they did against North Rowan (and have done all season long). West Davidson was the clear victor by a 15-0 margin over North Rowan on Friday.

Mahala Darnell made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she struck out nine batters over three innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit (and not a single walk). Darnell was also solid in the batter's box, scoring three runs while going 2-for-2.

Meanwhile, Reagan won against West Forsyth on Tuesday with five runs and they decided to stick to that run total again on Thursday. Reagan had just enough and edged Eastern Alamance out 5-4. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Reagan.

West Davidson has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. As for Reagan, they pushed their record up to 15-3 with that win, which was their 14th straight at home dating back to last season.
