Basketball Recap: Siegel Takes a Loss

Siegel was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 61-48 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Cedar Grove Saints. While losing is never fun, the Stars can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 112th in Tennessee, while the Saints are ranked 25th in Georgia).

Siegel's defeat dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Cedar Grove, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-3 record this season.

Siegel won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against McCallie at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Cedar Grove, they also won't have to wait long for more action: they'll face off against White Station at 4:30 p.m. on Saturday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as Cedar Grove comes in on three and White Station on six.
