Softball Recap: Marshwood Takes a Loss

After soaring to ten runs the game before, Marshwood was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They lost 15-1 to the Biddeford Tigers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Hawks of the 15-6 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in May of 2024.

Marshwood now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Biddeford, they pushed their record up to 5-2 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Marshwood is set to face off against their familiar foe Gorham at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Meanwhile, Biddeford will take on rival Kennebunk at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Tigers 3.6, the Rams 3) so any runs scored will be well earned.
