Basketball Recap: Virgin Valley Comes Up Short

If Virgin Valley was feeling good fresh off their 67-41 takedown of Eldorado last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Virgin Valley Bulldogs were beaten by the Democracy Prep Agassi Campus Blue Knights 76-43 on Wednesday. While losing is never fun, the Bulldogs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Nevada basketball rankings (they are ranked 41st, while the Blue Knights are ranked eighth).

Despite the loss, Virgin Valley still got an impressive performance from Reece Leavitt, who posted 12 points.

Virgin Valley's loss dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Democracy Prep Agassi Campus, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight games, which provided a nice bump to their 16-6 record this season.

Virgin Valley wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 74-41 defeat against Mater Academy East Las Vegas on the 4th. As for Democracy Prep Agassi Campus, they have also already played their next contest, an 84-8 win against Cristo Rey St. Viator on the 4th.
