Volleyball Recap: Wahconah Regional's Win on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Five

Wahconah Regional had already won four in a row and they went ahead and made it five on Thursday. They walked away with a 3-1 victory over the Taconic Thunder. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-0 back in September.

Wahconah Regional was dominant in they sets they won, taking each by at least ten points. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 16-25, 25-8, 25-13.

Madison Judson was the offensive standout of the contest as she had 14 digs and one assist. That's the most digs she has posted over her last eight matchups. Delayna Helms also deserves some recognition as she posted her first assist of the season.

Wahconah Regional was lethal from the service line and finished the match with 12 aces. They are 9-1 when they serve at least ten aces.

Wahconah Regional's win bumped their record up to 10-3. As for Taconic, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.

Coming up, Wahconah Regional will square off against Westfield at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. As for Taconic, they will challenge Lee at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
