Volleyball Game Preview: San Marino Titans vs. South Pasadena Tigers

San Marino is 2-7 against South Pasadena since April of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Titans will be playing at home against the Tigers at 5:30 p.m. San Marino is coming into the game hot, having won their last 13 games.

San Marino extended their road winning streak to six games thanks to a huge performance from Ryan Lee. The Titans came out on top against Temple City by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday with plenty of help from Lee, who had 17 digs and one assist. He has been hot for a while, having posted ten or more digs the last nine times he's played.

While San Marino might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Temple City scored at least 20 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-20, 16-25, 25-23, 25-22.

Meanwhile, South Pasadena made easy work of La Canada on Tuesday and carried off a 3-0 win. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Tigers.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-16, 27-25, 25-23.

The victory got South Pasadena back to even at 12-12. As for San Marino, their win bumped their record up to 22-5.

San Marino took their victory against South Pasadena in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 3-0 score. Will the Titans repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
