Football Game Preview: James River Midlothian Rapids vs. Huguenot Falcons + Official Tickets

The James River Midlothian Rapids will square off against the Huguenot Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

On Friday, James River Midlothian came up short against Midlothian and fell 27-14. The Rapids were down 27-7 at the end of the third quarter, which was just too much to recover from.

Meanwhile, Huguenot waltzed into their game on Saturday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They claimed a resounding 79-0 win over the Bulldogs. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last four times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Huguenot found their leader in sophomore Charles Scott Jr, who threw for 261 yards and seven touchdowns while completing 85.7% of his passes. Another player making a difference was Jhameer Jones, who gained 79 total yards and two touchdowns.

Huguenot was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 277 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 177 rushing yards every time they've taken the field this season.

James River Midlothian's defeat dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Huguenot, their victory bumped their record up to 7-1.
