Soccer Game Preview: Mountain View Prep vs. Belton-Honea Path

The Mountain View Prep Stars will challenge the Belton-Honea Path Bears on Tuesday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with five consecutive losses for Mountain View Prep and three for Belton-Honea Path.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Mountain View Prep's offense. They lost 10-0 to Greer Middle College on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, Mountain View Prep can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' South Carolina soccer rankings (they are ranked 181st, while Greer Middle College are ranked 46th).

The home team had won the previous two meetings between Belton-Honea Path and Walhalla, and Walhalla kept the tradition alive. The Bears fell just short of the Razorbacks by a score of 1-0 on Thursday.

Belton-Honea Path's loss dropped their record down to 13-8. As for Mountain View Prep, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-9.
