Recap: Hawthorne Hornets vs. Bridge to Independence Wildcats
The Hawthorne Hornets scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Bridge to Independence 81-35 on the road. The final score was a far cry from the score of their previous head-to-head, which saw the teams combine for a single point.
Hawthorne's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from CJ Ingram , who scored 25 points along with six rebounds and three steals. That makes it four consecutive games in which Ingram has scored at least 25% of Hawthorne's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Darian Bowie, who scored 18 points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Hawthorne now has a winning record of 5-4. As for Bridge to Independence, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost six of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-8 record this season.
