Football Recap: Friendship Christian's Undefeated Season over After Four Games

If Friendship Christian was feeling good fresh off their 28-3 takedown of Mount Juliet last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Commanders fell 21-17 to the DeKalb County Tigers on Friday. The match was a 7-7 toss-up at halftime, but the Commanders couldn't quite close it out.

Although Friendship Christian took the loss, they still got scores from Karson Moss and Bradyn Stringer.

Even if they lost, Friendship Christian's defense still kept up the pressure with three sacks. The team can thank three different players for their defensive prowess: George Dayton, Gideon Knox, and Jaxon Pulliam, who each picked up one sack apiece.

Having lost for the first time this season, Friendship Christian fell to 3-1. As for DeKalb County, their victory ended a four-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-2.

Coming up, Friendship Christian will challenge Clarksville Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The game will give the Commanders their first taste of in-conference action this season. As for DeKalb County, they will take on Macon County at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Macon County's defense has only allowed seven points per game this season, so DeKalb County's offense will have their work cut out for them.
