Volleyball Game Preview: Pomeroy Pirates vs. St. John-Endicott Eagles

Pomeroy has gone 9-1 against St. John-Endicott recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Thursday. The Pirates will look to defend their home court against the Eagles at 6:00 p.m.

On Tuesday, Pomeroy came up short against Garfield-Palouse and fell 3-1. The loss continues a trend for the Pirates in their meetings with the Vikings: they've now lost four in a row.

Meanwhile, there's no place like home for St. John-Endicott, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Thursday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Tekoa-Rosalia on Tuesday, sneaking past 3-2. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest victory the Eagles have posted since September 23rd.

St. John-Endicott was staring down a 2-1 deficit headed into the fourth set, but they rallied to take the next two for the win. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-18, 21-25, 25-19, 15-7.

St. John-Endicott's win bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Pomeroy, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.
